I've never seen pictures of Cove Camp before, thanks a lot for sharing. Gotta admit, I'm a bit jealous ;-)Ventura County Canyoneering https://www.blogger.com/profile/06413374115690933572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104407556476191365.post-31004316941633550782011-12-30T08:21:06.532-08:002011-12-30T08:21:06.532-08:00I just did this hike on December 26th 2011. See my pics here: https://picasaweb.google.com/114919677198486830680/CondorTrailPiruDoughFlat

I started at Piru, through Pothole and pushed to Tin Can Camp in one day. Serious bushwacking to get that far. I could not find any sign of Tin Can Camp either.. Just found a flat spot in the general area of that camp to spend the night. Hiked out the next day through Ant Camp to Dough Flat only to find the gate was closed 2 miles south of the Dough Flat parking lot.
This hike is best done when in the fall and winter when there are fewer leaves on the trees so you can see remnants of the trail and less poison oak (at least the leaves). I have a few patches of poison oak kicking in now but not too bad. NExt time I go there I will bring a saw to clear some of the deadfall.Gravityhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16232130114679441335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104407556476191365.post-47380590654009960462010-11-20T18:39:48.978-08:002010-11-20T18:39:48.978-08:00I had a great time on that one, not that I'm u...I had a great time on that one, not that I'm up for a return any time soon.
